"The two Danish outdoor companies, #HeroCamper og Moby Mountain, have come together in a partnership based on a shared passion to create the best framework for seeking different experiences in nature.

This is what Lasse Smidt, CEO of #HeroCamper, tells us.

- Sometimes you can travel the world without finding what you are looking for. Other times, it just takes a short drive out the E20, and then you bump into a company that shares your passion for creating outdoor products out of the ordinary. #HeroCamper and Moby Mountain are a formidable match because we resemble each other so much in our approach to the outdoor market, says Lasse Smidt.

Since 2017, #HeroCamper has built some of the market's toughest campers for a demanding outdoor audience in the USA, Europe and Australia, among others. The campers easily accommodate two adults, but if there are more people on the trip, a roof tent is needed.

- A large part of our campers are today sold with a roof tent, as it gives a little more flexibility. And when the campers leave the factory in Esbjerg with a roof tent on the roof rails, our customers also have an expectation that the roof tent lives up to the quality of the rest of the camper – that is why we have been looking for a business partner who supplies a model that we do not can produce itself, he continues.

HJULPET AF CORONA

#HeroCamper's search brought them to Kolding, where Morten Ejby, CEO of Moby Mountain, after a long development period founded Moby Mountain shortly before the first Corona shutdown in 2020. And that timing could not have been much better.

- I founded the company at a time when the Corona pandemic shortly afterwards created enormous interest in different outdoor experiences in the local area. And in the middle of all that, we stood with a product that made it easy for people to pack up the car and set off on micro-adventures. We couldn't have dreamed of a better start, says Morten Ejby.

Despite the fact that Moby Mountain is only entering its fourth season, the company's roof tents are already a great success, and the collaboration with #HeroCamper in Esbjerg is just another recognition of the company's quality and good customer service.

- We naturally noticed #HeroCamper in our start-up phase and see many similarities between us and them, and that we are now allowed to put our tent on a camper, which has already become a bit of a design icon in the outdoor industry, is something that makes us immensely proud. We have high expectations for the collaboration and have a good feeling that we are two local companies that have the opportunity to play well with each other, says Morten Ejby."
